CHIEF STRATEGY OFFICER & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
JOB ROLETo assist the CEO in the fields of strategic analysis, development, communication and to drive
the implementation of the company’s strategy within the whole organization. This includes
the development, implementation and cascading of the Balanced Scorecard methodology to
all levels in the company. The Chief Strategy Officer is further responsible for driving best
strategic HR practices and business diversification & development through both internal and
external opportunities.

JOB REQUIREMENTSQualifications- Relevant Bachelor’s Degree (BCOM/BA) in Business Administration & Management, HR
Management/ Industrial Psychology
- A relevant Post Graduate qualification in Management Practice would be an added advantage
- Master’s Degree in Business Management would be an added advantage
- More than 10 years of relevant executive leadership experience in an organisation of
similar size with a strong emphasis on employee motivation
- 6 years demonstratable experience in strategic management & consulting
- Experience in the water industry an added advantage
- Proven extensive exposure to - and experience in , the use of the Balance Scorecard
Competencies, Skills & Abilities- Strategic management, program and project management
- Knowledge in strategic management tools and techniques
- Ability to develop strategic plans & programs and coordinate implementation
- Knowledge in process & performance management
- Knowledge of the balance scorecard and its application
- Excellent understanding of the national, regional and international issues in strategic
management and the water industry
- Skill in re-engineering operations and procedures
- Conceptual and business analytical skills
- Ability to deal both with commercial and technical issues
- Ability to generate, analyse and interpret strategic data and information
- Ability to motivate teams and simultaneously direct several projects
- Knowledge and experience in best strategic HR practices
- Knowledge in strategic partnering and outsourcing as well as mergers & acquisitions

CHIEF BUSINESS UNIT: CENTRAL
JOB ROLELead, direct and ensure the achievement of Business strategy and operational objectives of a
Bulk Water Supply Business Unit in accordance with legislation, corporate policies and goals as
main focus. The translation of strategic objectives as directed by the Board of Directors and the
Chief Executive Officer and assistance with the development of organization policies and goals
that cover operations, personnel, financial performance, and growth of the business in general.
DUTY STATION: Okahandja
PATTERSON GRADING: EL
JOB REQUIREMENTSQualifications- Relevant Bachelor’s Degree and or a B.Sc. / BEng Degree related to the Water Industry
- Master’s Degree in Business Management would be an added advantage
- A relevant Post Graduate qualification in Management Practice would be an added
advantage
- More than 10 years of relevant executive leadership experience in an organisation of similar
size
- Minimum of 3 years strategic experience in business management in the water sector

- Participate in Financial strategizing of the corporation
- Strategic Human Resources Management and Planning
- Responsible for developing Talent of staff and performance
- Responsible for assigning the required operating systems
- Oversee customer & stakeholder relationship management in region
- Accountable for Compliance with Corporate Governance & risk and safety Legislation
- Accountable for sustainability of water quality and water resources
- Maximize efficiency and effectiveness of water supply operations
- Implement the balanced scorecard and business performance management practices
- Oversee effective functional and cross functional communication
- Oversee Legal and ethical compliance of the business unit
- Responsible for the overall business results of the Business Unit
